Donald Joseph Qualls also known as DJ Qualls in America is an American actor and producer. After gaining fame through his work on Road Trip he has since played in more than 20 feature films including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. In addition to his work in Road Trip, he has been featured in more than 22 television programs like Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order etc. As a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which he was diagnosed with at age 14 Qualls is a fighter. Within two years the cancer is now into the stage of remission. The body of his was greatly damaged by the treatment and the development of his body was slow down. When he began acting, financially secure, it was his goal because he had seen poverty throughout his childhood. He said, "I've been living so frugal for so many years that I need financial security otherwise the world will feel out-of-control and that's not good for me." He reflects on his early years, and is driven by the desire to act against bullies. The cruelty he experiences breaks his heart. The best job for DJs is one of a real-life father. But, he admits that most directors do not choose him for these kinds of jobs. It's a dream to one day be the parent of his own child, at which point he will be able spend much less time working and dedicate it to his child.
